Yes, the Yoco card readers can be used with multiple devices. For example, if you and your business partner each have a phone and want to use the card reader separately, you can. However, the card reader can only be used with one device (phone or tablet) at a time. Two people cannot use one card reader at the same time.
To complete a transaction Yoco requires a stable internet connection with WiFi or 3G (Data) so we can authenticate the payment.Yoco uses very little data to process a payment:One transaction uses approximately 50 - 100 KB of data. Yes. We have a 1 year manufacturing warranty which will cover any manufacturing defaults. Please note readers that are damaged through negligence (e.g. dropped) are not covered under the warranty. For more information about caring for your card reader please click here.
Yes, Yoco can be paired with any compatible smartphone or tablet, and can be used by multiple staff members. But, the card reader can only be paired with one phone or tablet at a time. For example, if you and your business partner each have a phone and want to use the card reader, you can. However you will need to unpair the reader from the first phone before pairing to the second phone.

Yes, you can pay off your card reader over a 16 week plan. Retail Capital manages our terms orders and you can choose to deduct the weekly payment on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.Wireless Pro: Weekly Cost of R230.54, Total Cost: R3,688.70.Wireless Lite: Weekly Cost of R149.29, Total Cost: R2,388.70.Please note the reference on your bank statement will be from Retail Capital and not Yoco.The terms plan will be submitted to Retail Capital after your reader has been delivered.
After completing your sign up for Yoco you will have one of the following free options for receiving your reader:Delivery:• CCD Couriers: CCD will phone you after we dispatch your reader to set up a day, time and location for delivery. Please have your FICA documents to show the courier.Pick up options:Choose your nearest, convenient pick up point on the interactive map.• Pargo: You will receive an SMS once your reader is ready for collection at the Pargo point you choose. This SMS will include an OTP (One-Time-Pin) that you will need to use at the collection point.• Yoco office (Cape Town): You are welcome to collect your card reader from our office at 56 Shortmarket Street, Cape Town. Yes, we will need your FICA documents before we can activate settlement on your account. The FICA documents need to be in the name of the Yoco applicant. Documents required:• Certified Copy of your South Africa ID• Proof of your Residential address (home address)If you chose for us to deliver your card reader via CCD couriers they will need your FICA documents on delivery. You can read more about what documents we accept here.
Yoco will pay your card transactions into your South African bank account provided during signup/on your online Business Portal. The amount we settle to your account will be less our transaction fee.Yoco will settle your account within one working day, and the money will reflect in your account within 24 - 48 hours after settlement. For more information about your settlement schedule please click here. The minimum settlement amount is R15.00 and there are no charges for settling your account.
Yoco supports all Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards. This includes Chip-and-PIN, Swipe and International cards. We also accept SASSA cards.Yoco does not currently support the following cards:- AMEX- Diner's Club- Union Pay- Fleet- RCSFor more information please click here.
Yoco only supports card present transactions. The customer needs to be present to insert their card and their PIN/signature for the transaction to be successful. This means you cannot enter the card number of your customer manually.Also Yoco does not support budget or online payments.

You can also use the staff logins to create different logins for different store locations.To add a staff member to your Yoco account, log in to the Yoco Business Portal with your login details.1. Every Yoco merchant has a unique referral code. You will receive R500 for every person who signs up using your referral code once they start transacting with Yoco. They will also get R250 off their card reader. You will be rebated via EFT into the bank account listed on your Business Portal.To refer friends to Yoco please do the following:• Log into your Business Portal using the email address and password you signed up with.• Click on the green "Claim my R500" button in the top right corner. Yes, however the transaction amount needs to be entered in Rands. You will need a stable internet connection to process the transaction and a South African bank account for us to pay your settlement into.
